MEDIA ANALYST (Educational / Informercial TV Production, postdate: Mar 1, 2026)
Development of programming content and planning for live and taped broadcasts. Responsible for media content review of public interest announcements, educational, and other community betterment programming for accuracy and effectiveness. Determines necessary resources for content presentation and visual impact. Prepares proposed production budgets. Review commercials for factual errors or exaggerated claims to avoid misinforming viewing public. Works with marketing and promotion staff to develop company participation in community benefit and educational events and programs. May prepare reports for management to recommend future educational and public interest programming.
Requirements:

COPY WRITER, PUBLIC INTEREST (Bilingual English-Chinese for Broadcast Television)
Description: Translate health-related documents and announcements issued by health authorities and network’s hospital clients from original English into accurate and precise Chinese text accessible to adults who are literate in written and spoken Chinese, including instructional materials about specific diseases and treatments, vaccination programs, diet, health and treatment services offered. Translate public service documents and announcements from various government and non-government service agencies, including information on medical insurance programs, Social Security, Medicare and cooperative public-private social service agencies and programs, write copy for broadcast on whole range of public service issues and available programs, normally in Chinese (National dialect), based on straightforward research. Reviews and revises proposed copy for purposes of impact and technical accuracy of Chinese-language messaging. Specific responsibility to translate and edit public service messaging regarding COVID-19 health care, available hospital, and in-home services, providing communication of vital information to the viewing public. USE OF CHINESE: 65%.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or closely related.
Experience: 2 years of experience in the job offered as Broadcast Copy Writer, OR, Marketing/Advertising Writer as alternative occupation.
Special: Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (National Dialect)
